Augusta Area Christmas Lights Hot Spots for 2019

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas lights have popped up all over the place, so I thought I’d put something together highlighting some areas you may want to check out from the comfort of your car.

This list will grow with time. If you know of any local light displays that aren’t on this list, please contact me with details and I’ll add to the list!

43 Chaste Tree Ln. — Drop a letter off to Santa while you’re there!

Lake Forest Dr. — Don’t miss the chance to drive through a “forest” of lit trees lining the road in the Forest Hills neighborhood. You’ll find them on the portion of the road between Lombardy Court and Lake Forest Hills Elementary School.

2823 Lombardy Ct. — You’ll find lights galore at this home! Too many to count!

3322 Walton Way — You can’t miss the elaborate decorations and lights at this home on Walton Way at the intersection of Ravenel Road.

2925 Kipling Dr. — A large house with lots of lights can be found in this cul-de-sac off of Boy Scout Road in west Augusta.

414 Dorchester Dr. — Fantastic light display on a big house synced to music.

2205 Martin Rd. — Enjoy a huge Christmas lights display at this south Augusta home located behind the old Zaxby’s and SunTrust. Their decorations have been ongoing for over 25 years.

3501 Mount Vernon Dr. — View a Christmas tree that appears to poke through the roof of this home in Mount Vernon subdivision.

1795 Pine Log Rd. — Located across from Cross Creek High School, this home is an annual favorite. Lights are synchronized to a playlist found on 88.7 FM. They even have a Facebook page with updates.

1452 Clark Rd. — Located in the McBean community, this home includes an option to send Santa a letter and get a treat bag!

‘Rudolph’ Not Detrimental to Society as ‘Huffington Post’ Claims


2004 Bald Eagle Dr. — A must see, this home off Story Mill Road has a light show set to music.


1334 Maple Leaf Ct. — Check out the lights at this home located in Maple Ridge subdivision off Hardy McManus Road.

765 Blanchard Rd. — A late entry this year, you’ll find a variety of lights and displays at this home. Turn at Kendrick Paint & Body on Washington Road.

6311 Southbroom Dr. — This light show will run through January 1. Tune into 90.1 FM to hear music. The show runs Sunday through Thursday, 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

416 Kirkwood Dr. — Just around the corner from Southbroom Dr., you’ll find a lot of pixel lights sequenced to music by listening to 87.9 FM. Hours are Sunday-Thursday 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 6 to 10 p.m.

788 Springbrook Cir. — Off North Belair Road, this home not only offers a light show but a free candy cane! The light show runs nightly from 5:45 to 10:00. Visit them on Facebook, too!

1165 Oakton Trail — Located deep in the Villages of Rivershyre in the Dartmore village, this home is well worth a visit again this year. You can even have your photo taken in Santa’s sleigh! Tune in to 88.1 FM to hear the music corresponding to the lights. Check them out on Facebook, too!

Christmas Memories


342 Timberidge Dr. — If inflatables are your preference, you’ll want to take River Watch Parkway to this house in Candlewood Crossing that features a 15-foot Rudolph among others! There are plenty of lights, too!

550 Gary Glen Dr. — A favorite from last year has returned this year. Located off Murray Road, this home has a light show set to music. Tune into 90.1 FM.

4132 Fair Oaks Rd. — A home in the Arrowhead subdivision off Flowing Wells Road has a lot of interesting inflatables. The home a couple of doors down that usually goes all out is relatively dim this year.

Old Trail Rd. — Several homes are lit up along the section of Old Trail Road between Flowing Wells Road and Maywood Drive.

278 Maywood Dr. — While you’re in the Edgewood/Arrowhead neighborhood, drop by this home, which looks a bit like a gingerbread house.

4007 Braddock St. — Adjacent to Maywood Drive, there are two homes on Braddock Street with lots of lights and inflatables. 4007 is the star of the two homes and worth a ride by.

Kings Bridge Rd. — Off Wheeler Road, you’ll find the Quail Creek subdivision. There are lots of decorated homes on Kings Bridge Road, many featuring nativity scenes. It’s well worth a look.

4381 Feather Ct. — Christmas joy continues elsewhere in Quail Creek. On your next stop, visit this home on a cul-de-sac with a nativity scene, inflatables, and plenty of lights. In the cul-de-sac behind it, there is another home with lots of lights.

343 Forest Ct. — Also in Quail Creek, this home is a must see on your itinerary! It almost looks like Clark Griswold’s house, but even better! The lights are super vibrant and everywhere, along with unique inflatables and designs.

Thomas Dr. — Take a drive along Thomas Drive in the Merrymont subdivision. While there isn’t a “wow” house, there are lots of homes decorated to help you catch the Christmas spirit.

4441 Whisperwood Dr. — There are 2 houses in sync in the Shadowmoor subdivision. The show plays from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5:30 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

123 Orchard Hill Ct. — This cul-de-sac in a neighborhood off Columbia Road is decorated with several inflatables and lots of lights.

162 South Old Belair Rd. — Over 30,000 lights are synced to 20 songs. Tune into 90.1 FM.

4512 Coldwater St. — See a pixel mega tree and 64 channels controlling about 7,000 lights. Tune in to 95.7 FM.

Merry Xmas to You

North Augusta

712 Riverview Dr. — This light show runs each night from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Tune into 90.3 FM when you arrive!

1820 Birch Dr. — Christmas lights are set to music at 90.5 FM.

349 Copeland Cir. — When it’s not been raining recently, check out lights to music and tune into 88.9 FM! This home is located off Murrah Road Extension.


487 Chalk Bed Rd. — A huge yard full of lights and inflatables, including scenes from “Frozen” and “Toy Story”.

    1. I’m sorry you were disappointed. It’s possible some of the displays may not have been lit at the time you drove by. I’ve just added more to the list, so hopefully those will delight.
