4 Day Forecast for Augusta, Georgia
Updated 4:40 p.m. 11/13/18
An area of low pressure aloft over Texas has been cut off from the jet stream. This area of low pressure will move across the South this week, interacting with high pressure at the surface that will develop along the eastern slopes of the Appalachians. The cut-off low will also spawn a surface low pressure system. All of these factors will keep rain in our forecast through Thursday morning. Rainfall amounts could become somewhat heavy, topping 1.5 to 2.5 inches. As the area of low pressure moves away from us on Thursday, crisp late fall air moves in for Friday and Saturday.
