If you think about weather in Augusta this spring, you probably have mostly positive thoughts. The weather was quite nice much of the season and we avoided some really hot days, saving those for the summer.
Meteorological summer began on Friday, June 1, so now we can review the weather during the spring of 2018 in Augusta.
Meteorological spring consists of the months of March, April and May. During that time, Augusta’s average temperature was 63.1°, which is only 0.2° below average, according to the Southeast Regional Climate Center. Daily low temperatures actually averaged a half-degree warmer than average for the season, while daily high temperatures were a degree below average.

Rainfall was a good bit above average for the season, despite periods of dry weather. Total rainfall observed at Augusta Regional Airport was 14.89 inches, which is 5.2 inches above average, making spring 2018 the 12th wettest spring since the early 1940s.
